Store Huddle exists because store teams coordinate in tools that have never heard of their store. We put the conversation, the tasks, and the alerts where the orders already are.
A team collaboration app built for Shopify merchants and their staff: rooms and categories for organised conversation, direct messages, tasks with assignees and deadlines, and store alerts for low-stock products and high-risk orders, all embedded inside Shopify admin.
Because it lives in admin, there is no separate login and no second app for the team to ignore. Orders, draft orders, products, and customers attach to messages as live cards, so the conversation is about the actual order rather than a screenshot of it.
Almost every store team coordinates in a tool that has never heard of the store. The chat app does not know what order 1024 is. The project board does not know the item went out of stock this morning. So the team spends its day translating: describing something in one window that is fully visible in another, pasting order numbers, screenshotting stock levels, and asking each other questions the store could have answered.
The cost is not the typing. It is that context does not survive. A decision about a supplier lives in a thread that scrolls away, and the person who joins in three months starts from nothing. Store Huddle exists to put the conversation next to the thing being discussed, so the record is a by-product of doing the work rather than a separate chore nobody has time for.
This matters more than the feature list, because the category is full of apps that sound alike and do different jobs.
Not a live chat widget. Nothing in Store Huddle is visible to your customers. If you want shoppers to message you, you want Shopify Inbox or a helpdesk, and we are neither.
Not scheduling or payroll. There is no time clock, no rota, no timesheet and no payroll. Those are real problems and there are mature Shopify apps built for them. We have not tried to bolt on a worse version.
Not a documentation tool. If what you need is written SOPs and training material, that is a different shape of product. We hold the exception, not the procedure.
Not a Slack replacement for your whole company. Store Huddle does one narrow thing: it puts a store team’s coordination inside the store.
We keep an honest comparison of the apps in our category, including the cases where one of them is the better buy.
Store Huddle reads orders, products, customers and staff accounts so it can attach them to conversations and raise alerts. It does not read anything it does not display back to you, and it is never visible to your customers. The full detail, including what is stored and for how long, is in the privacy policy, written to be read rather than to satisfy a lawyer.
The test is whether a feature helps a store team get through a specific day. Things that make the product look more capable in a feature comparison, but that nobody opens on a Tuesday, do not get built. That is why there is no video calling, no document editor and no analytics suite.
The second test is whether it works for a team of three. Most Shopify stores are small, and tools designed for large organisations tend to assume an administrator who has time to configure them. Nobody at a five-person store has that time.
Store Huddle launched on the Shopify App Store in August 2026, so it is a young product and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. The practical consequence for you is that support is answered by the people who wrote the code, and that feature requests from early merchants genuinely shape what gets built next. The other consequence is that we have fewer reviews than apps that have been listed for years, which is worth weighing.
There is a free plan for up to five people, so the cheapest way to find out whether it fits is to try it on a real week rather than take our description of it.
Legal entity, registration, and address are listed in our privacy policy.
Small team, shipped regularly. Support requests are read by the people who build the product, not routed through a tier-one queue first.
Listed under Staff notifications since August 2026. Free plan for up to five people, and a 7-day trial on the paid plans.
Our privacy policy, terms, and security practices are all public, in plain language.
The category comparison says plainly which problems other apps solve better.
